GFW: Kingston University

Two of my friends graduate from Kingston this year so I went to GFW to cheer them on.
Here's some of the highlights from the show:

Menswear extraordinaire

Greys and contrasting brights popped up A LOT throughout

Frilly florals

Maxi prints

A whole bear was probably needed for the entirety of this collection. Love the Queen's Guard's of Fashion look going on though.

More greys and block panels of colour

All I could hear being murmured around me at this point was 'Viktor and Rolf'

Nicola Burrows layered to the max with fun colour blocking

Pastel pretty

Sarah Carter made up some bright monster men

Where The Wild Triangles Are

One designer from the MDX show that deserves a MASSIVE mention is Yasmin Bawa. I've been helping her with her collection over the past few weeks and all her hard work has paid off. She's put a playful spin on menswear with geometric prints and pastel tones as well as layering to the max with a range of tailored pieces.

I wish her all the best for the future cos I know she's gonna go far!

Backstage

I was working backstage at the Middlesex Graduate Fashion Show last night in Brick Lane. The collections were AMAZING. It was great to see everyone's work come together after seeing it all in construction for so long. Sadly I didn't have the time to take many pictures as I was dressing models like a mad woman but here's a very small selection of stuff going on behind the scenes (apologies for the poor quality!)

Metallic Colour

Check out the Tattage on THAT

Unlikely sexiness

 Orgy of colour

If I was brave enough I'd so be getting some Russian Doll legs...

...but I'm not so instead I'm pining after a bird hand

Flemmy Flamingo

One too many mojitos and I come home with a flamingo. Flemmy's fun to hang out with.
