Turning Point

This was my final project at CSM.
The whole point of it was to make us realise where we want to go with our style and direction. We had to create something using anything but fabric. My phone got stolen at the time so I based this project on communicating through clothes. The blue panels on the jacket are made out of paper and card and are basically made to so that you can create messages by flipping the flaps in whatever way you please. It's meant to look like a pixelated message you could see on any type of computer screen . The top half was made out of some lilo-esque plastic and line with patterns from the insides of envelopes.

I left with a bang, everyone loved this project.

When I Grow up I want to be a Plane

This was my favourite project. I went mad with all these different kinds of screen printing techniques (puff, foil, flocking, discharge, devore, you name it I did it!) and made this scarf based on a kid who liked to pretend to be a plane. The scarf had a zip in it so whenever the wearer wants to have a mad plane moment they can turn the scarf into a plane seatbelt, buckle it up and fly away. The prints were all meant to show the journey of the plane from the runway to the sky.

Auction

Sadly a guy who was meant to be in my class at CSM was stabbed just weeks before our first term started. He is now paralysed for life and couldn't take up his place at the uni. To help raise funds for his medical care our class customised plain white t-shirts in to something depicting part of this boys story and life to be sold at an auction.

This was my contribution:
(all printing done with heat transfer inks and press)

Piece of Shirt

My take on the traditional shirt. I was looking into circuses at the time and got pretty excited by all the colourful clowny things...which really is a feat in itself for me as I hate clowns with a passion.

White

So roughly a year ago I was doing my degree for Fashion at Central Saint Martins. Sadly the experience wasn't all I hoped for and have since chosen to take a year out and look elsewhere to do my studies. I found all my old work lofting about on the computer so you get to see what sort of my mind threw up throughout that year.

This was my first project.
It was loosely based on the theme of wedding traditions and everything had to be made out of white felt or cotton (eugh)

Packing Up

Moving out of East London - The last images of my room before I packed that part of my life away.
