Auction

Sadly a guy who was meant to be in my class at CSM was stabbed just weeks before our first term started. He is now paralysed for life and couldn't take up his place at the uni. To help raise funds for his medical care our class customised plain white t-shirts in to something depicting part of this boys story and life to be sold at an auction.

This was my contribution:
(all printing done with heat transfer inks and press)

Piece of Shirt

My take on the traditional shirt. I was looking into circuses at the time and got pretty excited by all the colourful clowny things...which really is a feat in itself for me as I hate clowns with a passion.

White

So roughly a year ago I was doing my degree for Fashion at Central Saint Martins. Sadly the experience wasn't all I hoped for and have since chosen to take a year out and look elsewhere to do my studies. I found all my old work lofting about on the computer so you get to see what sort of my mind threw up throughout that year.

This was my first project.
It was loosely based on the theme of wedding traditions and everything had to be made out of white felt or cotton (eugh)

Gypsies

If we were caravan gypsy people this is what our life would look like - postcard style.
I point the blame to Darren Wakeling for provoking me to do this.
And yes...that is me with a moustache and doing a whale pose.

Trees have feelings too

It was a lovely sunny day so  I decided to amble out of my abode and trot along to the 'cliffs' of my seaside hometown. I have a nice little spot there that I like to sit at from time to time, it's on a hidden path through a load of crazy plants and bushes and gives you a great view of the sea, not many people bother to go down there. The only people that came down that path today was a young couple blatantly looking for somewhere to get it oooon but I'd already marked my territory by spreading out art materials and a bottle of beer.

Here is what caught my eye today:

I may just look at things a bit oddly but this tree did strike me as looking very melancholy.
I had a theory.

I think my theory got a little impaired near the end as the beer sort of took effect and I got really uncomfortable from my arse going numb, but hey nothing's perfect.
