There's No Place Like Gnome

Selection of images of my final S/S'13 collection from Middlesex University's Press Show in Brick Lane. Perspex pineapples and flamingos, 300 hundred custom-made keyrings, and a metres of digital printing and pleating later it's all done! Hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Selection Show

We had our Internal Selection Show at Uni on Thurs. Each of the 100 or so students involved had to show 3 outfits to be judged by designers, Louise Gray, James Long and J. JS Lee. 25 were picked to go through to showcase 6 outfits at our Press Show in June. AND I'VE BEEN SELECTED!!!! Very excited!

Inspired by a Gnome escaping the dreariness of reality to travel the world, collecting tacky souvenirs along the way, my collection showcases his stop in tropical paradise.

Perspex Pom Pom Paraphernalia

So alongside my making my pre-collection I dabbled in a bit of jewellery making that followed in the same theme. Thought I'd go back to my Tatty Devine days and hit up the perspex and laser cutting machine like a beast!...Think I'm a bit llama obsessed at the moment. If anyone wants something like this made for them drop me a message, I'm happily selling necklaces and various brooches of the same kind of thing.
